Pastor Letter for August 2016
Dear Members and Friends
Give thanks with a grateful heart, give thanks to the Holy one , give thanks because Heís given Jesus Christ his son as we all sing this song let us count our blessings as a whole Burmese Christian Church Sydney for all the wonderful blessings we have in Jesus Christ our Lord. We all are thankful for Godís holy hands upon each one of our family members to know God as our creator, our provider, our refuge, our savior and our Lord. August is the month that we focus on thanksgiving to the Lord who is great and to our God who is merciful and loving, and thanksgiving is all about our Christian life as individual and as a family of God His church. Paul as a servant of God gave thanks for the church in Thessalonian for the faith, love and hope they have received from God. 1 Thessalonians 1:3Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) 3 Every time we pray to God our Father, we thank him for all that you have done because of your faith. And we thank him for the work you have done because of your love. And we thank him that you continue to be strong because of your hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thanksgiving comes out of our relationship with God himself and our relationship with people and our relationship to all life circumstances. Since our Father in Heaven is in charge of the whole universe we can pray to Him for all our needs and wants daily to know Him better as our creator and our provider and we can give thanks for who He is as our faith in God grow stronger day by day. We can also work harder to serve God and each other with the love of Christ as a driving force behind all our labor so that we donít have to give up on people and God because of this loving relationship to accomplish the task and opportunity as we live, move and have our being. Lastly there is always hope and we can give thanks for our living hope in God the father, God the Son and god the Holy Spirit in all high and lows of circumstances in this life with the hope of eternal glory, hopelessness is biting hard to our society together with false hope, however we can be strong as we look up to the cross of Christ to press on and not to give up as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 1:18New Century Version (NCV) 18 The teaching about the cross is foolishness to those who are being lost, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. Amen, give thanks for the faith love and hope in the blessings that we have in Christ Jesus our Lord during August and lets thank each other in Jesus name.
